If you don't have outbreaks there is nothing to expect. Life just carries on as if nothing had happened.

If you do have outbreaks you'll be prescribed medication to deal with the symptoms.

Herpes is actually something very common, not something to worry about actually in my opinion

I doubt it because it is such a common infection. Most people just ignore the fact that they are infected.

The only time it becomes an issue is if regular outbreaks occur which interferes with ones sex life. However modern medications can easily deal with the outbreaks.

But genital herpes is still an STD, wouldn't it be difficult to shake off the judgemental look from the society?

30% to 40% of society has genital herpes so you can judge others the same way they judge you.

While Herpes can be sexually transmitted it is hardly the only means of transmission.

Hepatitis B can be sexually transmitted too. Do you consider Hep B to be an STD?

Unless you wear a sign round your nick saying that you have HSV why on earth would others find out about your status.

40% of the world is positive for HSV2.

85% of the world is positive for HSV1.

If you have HSV then you're normal. It is those who are not infected that are the exception.
